Palatine Park District
The Palatine Park District offers a variety of recreational facilities with numerous programs. Facilities include parks, stables, golf course, trails, theater, senior center and historical museum. Check their website for further information.
Salt Creek Rural Park District
The Salt Creek Rural Park District was founded on August 4, 1956. The Park District is located within the boundaries of three suburban communities – the southeast limits of the Village of Palatine, the western edge of the Village of Arlington Heights and the north central border of the City of Rolling Meadows.
There are five (5) community parks within the Salt Creek Rural Park District. They include:
Rose Park – 530 South Williams Ave., Palatine. (847) 259-6890.

South Park – 2004 South Theda Lane, Rolling Meadows
Twin Lakes Recreation Area – 1200 Twin Lakes Drive, Palatine. (847) 934-6050.
Hat Trick Hockey – 647 Consumers Avenue, Palatine. (847) 394-8806.
Rose Park, home to the Administrative Offices for the Salt Creek Rural Park District, offers playground equipment, picnic shelter and open fields for play.
Grealish Park offers tennis courts, playground equipment, picnic shelter, basketball courts and shuffleboard area.
South Park also had tennis courts, playground equipment, basketball courts and open fields for play.
Twin Lakes Recreation Area is a premier nine-hole executive golf course and driving range that also offers fishing, boating and many other recreation activities. During the summer months, you can enjoy a fish fry out on the patio overlooking Donut Lake, or sit back and enjoy the sounds of live music and other local entertainment.
Hat Trick Hockey is one of Chicagoland’s only indoor inline hockey rinks and is the home to the Chicago Untouchables professional inline hockey team. Hat Trick Hockey offers inline leagues, lessons, clinics, programs, camps and tournaments and is the home to Pucks Sports Bar.
It is the mission of the Salt Creek Rural Park District to provide for the community a quality park and recreation system that is committed to excellence is service and facilities as well as being sensitive to individuals and economics.
