During this informative discussion, Chris will discuss the part of the brain that controls speech and expression that may be affected by dementia; how one may communicate effectively using a more positive approach to care; how to encourage your loved one to live with dignity and their best ability to function; and the behaviors of one living with dementia is always a form of communication. Presented by Chris Petrik, RN, BS, Training Specialist, Elderwerks Educational Services. Snacks and coffee will be provided. There is no fee to attend, though a $10 donation would be appreciated.
